We all have experienced betrayal before and it is painful. We can’t imagine that we would ever do that to someone else. The book of Hosea shows us a dramatic story where a prophet of God is called to love his wife even when she betrays him over and over again. Taking a deeper look at the book shows us this is actually a mirror for our relationship with God. We so quickly can turn our back on Him and run to sin, but His love is unconditional and pursues us even in our worst moments.
