Throughout the book of Job we have seen that there is a sovereign God who is working all things for our good, including our suffering. Whether or not we can see the good often depends on how we think about God. If our God is small then it is difficult to be joyful in the middle of suffering, because we can’t see how He could be using the brokenness around us for good. If our God is the God of Job 38-42, He is sovereign, infinite and powerful enough to fulfill all His purposes and plans in our lives.
