When we look holistically at the Scriptures, we see that while prayer has a wide array of uses, it is ultimately a means by which we commune with our Creator. God is an ever present God. By His Holy Spirit, He is always with us, and prayer is our recognition of His with-ness and our engagement in the relationship with Him.

In prayer, we adore God, we intercede for others, we confess our sin, we listen to His Spirit, we give praise, we offer thanks, we open our hearts, we ask, we seek, we knock. If you sum up all the different ways that we can pray, you might say that to pray is to simply abide in God. 

We believe that prayer is intentionally cultivating an awareness of being with God, conscious of His abiding presence, and engaging with Him in a relationship. We long for Mosaic to be what Jesus would call ‘a house of prayer,’ so we strive to see this reality lived out in our everyday lives, whether we’re gathered up together or scattered throughout our community. We would love to pray for you and with you. Below, you’ll see a space where you can request prayer, as well as opportunities to gather together for prayer at Mosaic.

Prayer on Sundays at Mosaic

Prayer is a pillar of our Sunday gatherings at Mosaic. Whether it is in the planning stages with our leadership teams, the midweek preparations by our staff and volunteer teams, the pre-gathering huddles of our Sunday serve teams, or within the gathering itself… we are desperately going to God in prayer to depend on Him and to ask Him to do what only He can do. Here are a couple of opportunities for gathered prayer on Sundays:

Before Gatherings

Every Sunday at 8:15am, we gather in the ‘Cry Area’ (at the end of the west hallway) to pray specifically for what will take place that day. We pray for the individuals who will be leading the gatherings, for those attending, and for partner churches who are gathering as well. We would love to have you join us!

After Gatherings

At the end of every gathering, a group of Pastors and leaders are available to pray for you and with you about anything you may be journeying through in life. You can find them at the front of the sanctuary next to the stage.

Like a kind Father with his children, God loves to play hide and seek and lose. Woven throughout the Scriptures are invitations from God to seek Him and find Him.

This is the goal of our Prayer & Worship Nights – to simply seek the Lord together. Anyone is welcome to attend, and childcare will be provided.

Join us for a 15 to 20 minute time of guided, prayerful meditation on Scripture. Although the Bible consistently encourages us to meditate on Scripture, we aren’t typically taught how. Our hope is that this would be a time where we create space to allow the Spirit of God to bring to life His word in our hearts and minds, drawing us near to him and making us look more like Jesus.
