The Spiritual Discipline of
One of the most powerful and beautiful things we can do is pray. Through it, we actively trust God with our cares and, through the power of the Holy Spirit, invite Him to transform our hearts, minds, and souls.
Prayer is an essential discipline of all Mosaic ministries. We invite you to participate and stand alongside us in praying for our community’s needs, engaging in this rich, life-giving discipline.
Prayer isn’t limited to a special prayer meeting but, rather, should flow into every corner of our lives as we open ourselves up to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and truth. We believe in the power of prayer, and we want to continue to develop a culture in our church where prayer together is as natural as breathing in the air around us.
Community groups are the heartbeat of Mosaic. These are designed to allow us to know, encourage, and care for one another organically within the context of the larger church body. Sharing prayer needs and faithfully caring for the prayer needs of others is vital to loving, caring, and advocating for one another as united followers of Jesus. We hope that all of our Community Groups are abundantly connected and unified over prayer for and with one another.
Every Monday night our Weekday Prayer Team meets in the Mix room to pray for all the known prayer needs in the Mosaic community and worship together. All are welcome to join! Come whenever you are free. This is a great space for rest, reflection, silence, and worship interwoven with prayer.
From beginning to end, prayer is an important part of all of our gatherings as a church body.
At both of our campuses, all of our Sunday volunteers gather together for prayer before stepping into their various areas of service. Whether it’s the Mosaic Connect Team, Mosaic Kids Team, or the Worship Team . . . know that when you arrive at a gathering, someone has already prayed for you.
At our Winter Garden Campus, volunteers of our Prayer Team spend time in prayer together during our Sunday gatherings. If you’re in need of prayer, please don’t hesitate to go ask them to pray with or over you. You can find them at the back of the curved hallways behind the sanctuary and recognize them by their nametags.
Similarly, at our smaller WDW Campus, there are always a few staff members and deacons at the back of the sanctuary ready to pray with or over you. If you find yourself wanting prayer during a gathering, don’t hesitate to go and quietly let them know. They would love to care for you in that way.
A group of our deacons, pastors, elders, and/or staff is always available after the gathering to pray with you. You can find them at the front of the sanctuary after every gathering.
