I have a passion for serving and supporting others in hard places and being an advocate for those without a voice. For the past several years, I have been given the opportunity to work with women coming out of the prison system who were working to create a better life for themselves and their families, counseled and taught GED classes to men on probation, facilitated classes with Jobs Partnership for unemployed and underemployed participants. Currently, I serve as a Guardian ad Litem for children in the foster care system. I am looking forward to sharing my hope in Jesus and seeing how God will use my graduate training in child development while working in the Adoption & Foster Care at Mosaic and in at-risk, vulnerable communities.
I met my best friend, Perry, in 1996 and married him in 2000. We’ve moved across the county three times and put roots down in Florida in 2007. We have four amazing kids who bring us a combination of joy and chaos on a daily, if not, hourly basis. I love good food, books, being outside in nature, spending time with my people, and recently, birdwatching (it’s ok, you can laugh, everyone else does).
