Lay Elder

I was affirmed as an elder at Mosaic in 2016. My formal roles include leading a community group and serving on the directional team. I also regularly participate in after-gathering prayer. I consider it an honor to serve alongside the other elders at Mosaic and am humbled by the opportunity to participate with God in work He’s doing in our community and throughout the world. Our community group has become a group of friends doing life together, encouraging one another in everyday ministry, learning that discipleship is a two-way road, and growing in the ways of Jesus.

I’ve been a partner in a local civil engineering firm since 2002. My wife, Amy, and I were high school sweethearts and married after college and eight years of friendship. Our marriage is a daily reminder of God’s unmerited favor in my life. We have two awesome daughters. Our family enjoys watching and critiquing movies, various sports, art, drama, running, skateboarding, snowboarding, skimboarding, and camping. Everyday ministry takes place in the realm of these activities and relationships. We’ve found that authentic community takes time to establish but, like a good marriage, is one of the biggest blessings this side of eternity and a place where you can clearly see God at work if you trust Him by persevering in faith.
