Melanie Stimmell

I currently serve as the Adoptive & Foster Care Coordinator at Mosaic Winter Garden Campus. My husband and I have been married for 36 years. We were Foster Parents for 20 years and were involved in kinship care for years before becoming a foster family. Together we have 4 biological adult children (3 are Married) and have adopted a sibling group of 6, bringing the family total to 15. I have a passion for mentoring Foster and Adoptive families and have served for many years on local and state foster parent associations. I am a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner, which is an evidence based trauma informed care model designed to support vulnerable children who may have experienced abuse, neglect or relational trauma. Additionally, I am a Making Sense of Your (past) Worth, (MSOYW) practitioner.  Also,  an evidence-based, 8-week study helping individuals desiring to work through past trauma. Leading to forgiveness and a secure attachment. This replaces shame with positive self-worth.

I am very passionate about serving/supporting foster and adoptive families through coaching, educational trainings, emotional support and Care Communities.
