I was born in Atlanta, Georgia but have grown up in Orlando, Florida since I was eight years old. When I was 9, I accepted Christ into my heart at a Vacation Bible School and my life completely changed for the better. Since then, God has blessed me with a large family full of adoptive and birth relatives. Though my immediate family moved us to NYC during my high school years, I moved back to FL after graduation to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2015.
The story that led me to working and serving in ministry is a long and beautiful one, so a few years ago I decided to write about it. I recently published a book about how God shaped the early years of my life called, Finding Joy in Suffering, A Memoir. I will share briefly though that a long time ago God gave me a passion to walk alongside others in the beautiful and brutal journey of doing life in this broken world. Displaying the gospel and serving the church is the greatest honor we have, and I am thankful that I have been able to do that in many ways since becoming a Christ follower.
I began attending and serving at Mosaic in January 2017, and later that year stepped into their internship program to learn in-depth about theology and ministry. In God’s timing, I began working on staff with the Operations & Finance team in February 2019. I primarily help run the financial responsibilities during the week, and on Sundays, I serve in a number of different spaces depending on the need, whether that’s with the gatherings, kids ministry, or greeting in the lobby. I love getting the privilege to serve and come alongside many of you as you find your home and community here at Mosaic!
