Matthew Armbruster

I am a born and raised Oklahoman (Boomer Sooner!) whose Mosaic story began after I was given a book by my seminary written by Renaut van der Riet, our lead pastor at Mosaic. In 2022, I emailed Mosaic out of the blue and asked if I could move to Florida and do a pastoral residency here. To my surprise and delight, they said yes!

After several years of residency, I now have the joy of serving on Mosaic’s Biblical Formation Team. Much of my time is spent helping people encounter Jesus in the Scriptures and learn what it means to walk closely with Him in everyday life. I love getting to create spaces where people can know the Bible more deeply, grow in their love for Jesus, and become more like Him along the way.

On January 1, 2024, I married my best friend, Jody! I met Jody in 2018 the only way we Gen-Z’ers know how: through the Instagram DMs! We love calling Florida home and getting to be part of what God is doing at Mosaic. If you see either of us in the lobby, please come say hi! We’re always looking to meet new people as we seek to make Jesus’ name known from Winter Garden to the ends of the earth.

In my free time, I love watching college football, cooking homemade pasta, and reading (and buying too many) books. I’ll read just about anything, but especially love theology, biographies, memoirs, and novels. My favorite way to slow down is an evening walk with Jody. Feel free to join us!
