Jamie Bortner

I am blessed to be married to my dear husband, Doug, and we have 3 very energetic and creative boys named Jacob, Sammy, and Cody. If you see some blonde boys running around and climbing on furniture, chances are they’re mine. Being their mom has given me a deep passion for kids, parents, and “villages” like Mosaic where I am surrounded by fellow families on mission for Christ.

I was raised in Wisconsin, and like many others here at Mosaic, found my way to Florida via the Disney College Program in 2002. I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2006 with an education degree and taught biology at Boone High School for 12 years. In 2018 I transitioned to a career in ministry where I was able to be the hand of feet of Jesus serving as a preschool director, kids ministry director, women’s ministry director, and small groups director. I love going out to dinner with my family and finding local “foodie” spots! In my down time I like to read and go for long walks.

As a part of Mosaic KIDS my prayer is to reach every child and parent with the gospel; that they would know the love of Jesus Christ and feel like part of God’s family here at Mosaic!
