Hey there, Mosaic Students Family!
As many of you are wondering, we are deciding to cancel our Wednesday gathering tomorrow night in preparation for Hurricane Idalia. As in past years, we face the funny dilemma of uncertainty and unpredictability with a storm. We just want to make the best decisions for our families, our church and our ministries. Knowing that it’s possible by the time 6:00 o’clock hits it could be stormy but it also could be clear skies, we are still going to do an Instagram Live. Where students can jump on and connect and have fun and then we can point them ;intentionally towards Jesus!
Aside from Hurricane Idalia, we are so excited to be back in the routine of Wednesday gatherings! It’s such a privilege to walk beside each and every one of you, and we’re so excited to see what God has in store for your students in this 2023-2024 school year!
STUDENTS SUMMER RECAP
To recap the last few months… The summer started with Camp, which was an amazing experience for our 160+ kids, Staff, and volunteers! The Lord moved in many ways in all of us and so many kids accepted Jesus into their life – what a blessing! We also participated in our Local Week, Middle School Week, and some of our High Schoolers went on a Mission trip to Guatemala. Thank you for allowing us to pour into your kids during the summer!
THIS YEAR
A couple weeks ago we gathered for our Fall Kickoff, which was an awesome time to have fun and build community! To end the night we had students write a letter to themselves about how they want to grow this year. In December each student will open those letters and see how God has worked in their life this semester. This is our fourth year of our Word Tour series of going through the Bible, with focusing on The Prophets. If you’d like to join in on one of our gatherings anytime this year, here’s the Live Stream Link to participate from home!
Also, our Small Groups started two weeks ago! If you haven’t met your kid’s small group leaders yet, we would encourage you to do so! A great time to do this would be during our Parent’s Night. This will be held on September 27th, so mark your calendars! Parent Nights are intentionally designed to give you a window into what your students experience every Wednesday and to connect with the people leading your kids week in and week out.
We also wanted to take a second and make you aware of an INCREDIBLE FREE resource for you all!
Axis Parenting Guide is an organization we’ve been following for a few years and have subscribed to their resources as a means to be more equipped as a ministry and to serve you all as parents.
Well, incredibly enough, ALL their content is now free. Their weekly parenting newsletter aka “The Culture Translator” and their topical parenting guides are PHENOMENAL. Super gospel centered and yet extremely practical. We highly recommend perusing through their site and saving it as a resource for future reading.
We deeply care about you as family, and we are fervently praying for you always. We will specifically be praying for this semester as you all step into another academic year filled with new challenges and exciting opportunities!
