Hi Parents,

This email is not one that anyone ever wants to send, but this information is important and we want to honor the Wells as best we can. Most of you know, but if you haven’t heard, 2 weeks ago we lost one of our students in an unexpected accident. Owen Wells was 14 and in 9th grade when he was suddenly taken from us on Thursday, November 17th in a hit-and-run accident while waiting for his school bus, His parents, Jim and Beth started coming to Mosaic 16 years ago and all 3 of their boys (Owen, Joshua, Ian) have been a part of our kids and student ministry spaces.

Owen was a faithful student who came every Wednesday and always had a joke ready for anyone who needed a laugh. Owen also loved students’ summer camp – and we mean LOVED camp – he would always try to find an activity that he could beat the record for and set his sights on that. More than all of this he loved and knew Jesus. He had a servant’s heart and we just know that his entrance into heaven was a glorious one. 

We will have a chance to celebrate Owen’s life on Saturday, December 10th at 10:00am at Mosaic Church. Jim and Beth wanted to have room set aside for students so there will be a reserved section in the sanctuary for any students who would like to sit together for the service.
