Happy August Mosaic Families!

Can you believe it, summer is ending and fall is approaching! We are looking forward to starting our NEW CURRICULUM called ‘The Gospel Project’. It is a chronological bible study that shows how all scripture points us to Jesus and how the bible fits together to tell one big story—God’s plan to rescue and redeem sinners through faith in Jesus Christ. It has a 3 year scope that helps kids establish a gospel foundation for a lifetime of discipleship. We are really excited to start this journey and learn more of God’s Word!

August at a Glance:

Our Big Picture

Why did God create everything? God created everything for His glory and our good.

Great News... we are looking to decrease your wait time at kid check so you have more time to chat with friends and connect with people in the lobby! This will allow you to check your child in on your phone and print the nametags at a kid-check kiosk when you arrive. You can download the kidcheck app (below), check-in on your phone, and complete check-in upon arrival.

Upcoming Events

There are always things going on in Mosaic Kids! Here are just a few of them coming up soon.

Getting baptized is such a special experience for each believer, and we love sharing that moment with our church body. This is why we’re excited for August 27th—our next Baptism Sunday! If your child wants to be baptized, we’d love for you to let us know by registering to join us for baptism class on Thursday, August 17th at 6:00pm. You’ll need to pick up a baptism packet from our Mosaic Kids Team and fill it out with your child before attending the baptism class together.

 
 

August 13th

"Move Up" Sunday

All our kids will be moving up to their new grade on August 13th. Kids going into Kindergarten will move to The Garden, Kindergarteners will move to The City for 1st grade, 1st graders will move to 2nd grade, 2nd graders to 3rd grade, 3rd graders to 4th grade, and 4th graders will start in The City, and they will move over to MIX during class.

*If you have a 4th grader moving up to 5th, drop them off in The City and pick them up in MIX. If you have any questions, email Carrie at carriew@thisismosaic.org
 

August 12th

Buddy Break

This is a free, family-respite program founded by Nathaniel’s Hope that we host. At Buddy Break, kids with special needs (and their siblings) can make new friends while their parents/caretakers get a break from their ongoing responsibilities for two hours on a Saturday morning once a month. Kids are teamed up for the day with a Buddy, alongside whom they play games and enjoy crafts, activities, therapy dogs, and other memorable moments.

Practice resumes August 8th

Spark Worship Team

If you have a kiddo who loves to worship God and learn dance choreography, this may be a great spot for them! Our Spark Worship team leads worship for the kids in the City every Sunday. The Spark team practices on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00pm at Mosaic. This is where they learn and practice the dances for the worship songs for the upcoming Sunday. On Sundays, they attend Kid’s church as normal and then go on stage with the other Spark kids when it is time for worship. Spark is 3rd Grade – 6th Grade.

Please email lindseyh@thisismosaic.org with your child’s name, grade, and t-shirt size if they’d like to join. Practice resumes on August 8th!
