Renaut shared about his journey into the Amazon rainforest, where he had the opportunity to bring the gospel to unreached villages. In a place where so much was unfamiliar, he was reminded of something beautifully simple: the gospel is still the power of God to save. We do not change hearts through the strength of our arguments, our intellect, our skill, or even our ability to understand another culture. Jesus saves.
And while the villages of the Amazon may feel like another world, the people Renaut encountered were not so different from us. Across cultures and continents, the deepest needs of the human heart remain the same. The people in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and everyday lives need the good news of Jesus just as desperately.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
