In the story of Esther, we see glimmers of Jesus. Both came “for such a time as this” to usher in God’s victory for His people.
Though the book of Esther never directly mentions God, it reminds us that He desires for His people to trust His timing and that He alone is fully good and sovereign, working all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.
For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
