God Saves Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego

God Is Good
Scripture
Daniel 3

This week we are learning about three men who knew that God is good. There was a king named Nebuchadnezzar who did not love God or believe that God is good. Nebuchadnezzar made a huge, golden idol and wanted all the people to love and trust this golden idol most. Nebuchadnezzar told the people that every time instruments were played the people were supposed to fall on their knees and worship the golden idol. He made a rule that said if anyone does not bow down and worship his idol, then that person would be thrown into a furnace of fire. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew that worshiping the idol the king made would be a sin. Only God should be worshiped. Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego were tied up and thrown into the fire. When the king looked into the fire he saw not three, but FOUR men! They weren’t burning up, and they were walking around! God was with the men in the fire!
