Position Summary:

  • The facilities team serves the ministry teams of Mosaic in caring for the needs of the facility. This team fulfills the duties of setting up and cleaning the Facilities as directed by the Global Operations Coordinator.

Outcome of Position:

  • Overall cleanliness of the facility
  • Prepare the facility for services, classes and events
  • Ensure all staff, visitors and volunteers have the best experience possible
  • Ensure the overall values of the church

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Reviewing and working collaboratively with other team members on executing the tasks set out for each day
  • Assisting the Facilities Custodian in cleaning all the spaces in our facility for ministry
  • Working proactively in cleaning spaces for ministry throughout the week
  • Assisting the Facilities Manager in mobilizing and training volunteers
  • Thinking creatively on problems that arise and help find solutions
  • Communicating to the Facilities Manager on supplies or resources needed for ministry
  • Aid Facilities Manager in maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the facility through the maintenance and upkeep of the 78,000 sq ft space as well as assisting WDW campus with their maintenance needs
  • Assist with vendors when on site
  • Run errands off campus as needed
  • Set up for meetings, gatherings and special events utilizing LEAD app.
  • Other duties as needed to support the vision and mission of Mosaic Church

  • Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
    • Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
    • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
    • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience performing the janitorial upkeep of a large facility
