Mix 56ers, are you ready for four days of high-energy, Olympic-style competition?
Having missed it last year, we are pumped to bring our Mix56 summer camp back this June! It’s not only a regular highlight for our students but also our Mix staff and volunteers as we enjoy worship, teaching, and some seriously legendary games together.
This year, through all of that, we’ll explore the power of putting on the armor of God as described by Paul in Ephesians.
Ephesians 6:10-17
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God...having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
We are in a battle and, to paraphrase the scripture, it’s time to suit up. We must put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, shoes of peace, the helmet of salvation, and use the sword of the spirit. During this week, we hope our Mix56ers learn how each of these will help them be on guard against the enemy, seeing how to deploy each of these pieces of armor in their own spiritual walk.
We’d love for you to join us as a team leader! You don’t need to already be a Mosaic Kids volunteer. In fact, volunteering for Mix Olympics is a great first step to considering becoming a Mix 56 volunteer on Sundays.
