Twenty-two. That’s the number of U.S. military veterans that take their own lives each day. That is a terrible number. Too often our military veterans return from combat and retire from the military only to find that they have little to no support, no one that they feel they can talk to who really understands what they have been through, and just try make it through on their own.
Obviously, that is not the answer. Mosaic is starting a group for veterans—no matter how long you were in the military, what you’ve experienced, you are welcome. This will be a biblical support and study group. We will go through materials designed to use scripture to help you find healing and wholeness. But the bottom line is we want you to have a place that you feel you can connect with others who share similar experiences.
Our goal is to provide a unique, safe environment for those with PTS to receive support from their peers through faith based studies. Even if you are not diagnosed with or think you are dealing with PTS, we would still love to have you. This group is for both men and women who have been in the military.
Meets: Monday Nights, 6:30 – 8:30pm
Starts: September 14th – Ongoing
Location: Mosaic Winter Garden Campus
Leader: Brian Moore
If you are unable to meet in-person and are looking for an online alternative or you have any other questions regarding this group, please feel free to reach out to our Counseling & Recovery Director, Deb.
