Over the last few months, God has been guiding our Mosaic at Walt Disney World pastor, Brady White, and his wife, Jennafer, into a new chapter of life.
Starting this December, Brady will enter a Lead Pastor position at Lifepoint Church in Quincy, Illinois.
We are sad to say goodbye to our friends, but so excited for their new season.
Since Mosaic’s beginning, it has been a part of our vision to impact the Walt Disney World community with the wonder of the gospel. Brady and Jen have been an essential part of bringing that dream to life by launching and leading our WDW campus, serving thousands of frontline cast members. Many of these men and women have come to Mosaic in the midst of completing their six or twelve month internship, college or international program. Their unique circumstance, combined with the environment of community and discipleship that Brady and his leadership team have faithfully developed over the last six years, has created an incredible “sending culture” at the Disney campus.
This makes it even more special that we get to now send out Brady and Jen to serve another city. We will miss their creativity, hospitality and wisdom, but know that God has good things in store for both them and the WDW campus as Mosaic’s elders work steadily on a leadership transition plan.
Brady’s last weekend at the WDW campus will be December 2nd, but his previous messages will remain available here and on the Mosaic Podcast (for when you miss his voice).
Please enjoy the letter for you below and then join us in praying for our friends.
Dear Mosaic Church,
How do you write a letter saying goodbye to your family? Even asking that questions brings so many powerful emotions to the surface. Jennafer and I have been a part of this incredible community for over eight years now. This has become home, and you have become our family. We love this place, and we love all of you. However, God has laid out a diverging path before us and His Spirit is tugging within our spirits in that direction.
I wasn’t looking for something new or different. In fact, the overwhelming sense I’ve had the past six months is that of gratitude. I can’t believe that I get to be a pastor at Mosaic who teaches God’s Word and shepherds God’s children. But, in late July a church in Jennafer’s home town lost their lead pastor, and the Spirit of God began to make it evidently clear that this is where He wanted use us. The last weekend of July I did a wedding up there. As I had conversation after conversation with people from that church God laid powerfully on my heart the moment in the book of Acts when Paul had a dream where a man from Macedonia appeared pleading with Paul to come and help them. This call has been confirmed by so many Spirit “coincidences” it’s difficult to recount them all. Through much prayer and many conversations with wise Jesus-loving people Jennafer and I have become convinced that we must go because this is where the Spirit of God is leading us next.
In December I will officially be the lead pastor of LifePoint church in Quincy, IL. Their website is http://lifepointqcy.org. If you’re ever in the area we’d love to see you!
In the extravagant love of Jesus,
