Have you ever used a compass to show you which way to go? They’re great for helping you on a hike, but not as great when we’re trying to figure out which way to go in life. We need the Bible for that.

This month, we’re going to start our ride through the Bikes and Trikes theme as our preschoolers and toddlers learn that the bible tells us which way to go. How wonderful would it be if our preschoolers grew up using the Bible as their compass as they ride through life!

June Week One
We’ll introduce the idea of the Bible lighting our path with Psalm 119:105. With multiple flashlight activities, preschoolers will encounter a visual representation of the bible showing us the way to go. Our story focus is The Bible shows me the way. Whenever we don’t know which way to go, we can look to the Bible to show us the way.

June Week Two
In week two, preschoolers will hear how John 13:34-35 tells us to love one another. And, one another means everyone, not just our best friends. Our story focus is The Bible tells me to look for ways to help others. Helping others is a concrete way to show love. And, we can always find ways to help each other.

June Week Three
During week three, preschoolers will learn that the Bible tells us we can pray to God anytime, anywhere, and about anything. Through Jeremiah 29:12, they will also learn that when we pray, He hears us. Our story focus is The Bible tells me I can talk to God anytime. We want our preschoolers to know that no matter where they’re headed, they can always talk to God about it.

June Week Four
Week four is difficult for our preschoolers, but important for them to hear. Through Acts 2:45, preschoolers will hear how those in the Early Church shared their stuff and that we can too. Our story focus is The Bible tells me to share my stuff. Sharing isn’t always an easy road to ride on, but it’s always the right way to go.

July Week One
We will begin week one with Psalm 119:11 where the Bible teaches us about hiding God’s Word in our heart. That’s how we can take it with us wherever we go! We just need to hide it in our hearts! Our story focus is I can take God’s Word with me wherever I go. Whether I’m at church, at home, or in the grocery store, God’s Word can be with me.

July Week Two
Week two, we want preschoolers to hide in their hearts the truth found in Psalm 139-God made me. We want them to take that truth-that they are wonderfully made by God-with them wherever they go. Our story focus is The Bible tells me God made me the way I am. God made us from our head to our toes, and He loves each and every part.

July Week Three
Week three is another wonderful part of the Bible we want our preschoolers to take with them wherever they go-God loves me all the time. It’s found in Jeremiah 39. Our story focus is The Bible tells me God loves me all the time. When we’re happy, sad, angry, or scared, God loves me!

July Week Four
Week four, we will introduce our preschoolers to Hebrews 10 and what it means to be a part of God’s family. We want them to know that wherever they go, they have a family that loves them and will help them. Our story focus is The Bible tells me I can be a part of God’s family. Because of Jesus, we can all be a part of the family of God.

July Week Five
We will end our bikes and trikes adventure on week five with the amazing truth found in John 3:16-Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Our story focus is The Bible tells me Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We hope the truth that Jesus wants to be their friend forever goes with them wherever they go for the rest of their lives.

Whether we’re young or old, hiding God’s word in our hearts is important. It allows us to take life changing truths from the Bible with us literally wherever our bikes and trikes take us.
