The McNerlin family moved to Honduras in 2015 to work with Legacy of Hope as volunteer support staff. Legacy of Hope’s vision is to provide holistic solutions to orphan care in Honduras.
“As a family, we are excited to live on mission in Honduras. We moved to Honduras in October 2015. We are committed to helping the less fortunate children here, working alongside Legacy of Hope Foundation (LOH) in Santa Rosa de Copan. LOH offers our family many opportunities to help with emergency crisis care, strengthening and assisting families, helping with the needs of the ministry and lots of cooking. (Teresa’s favorite) Something we have always told our children is, “You don’t have to, you get to!” That is our desire here in Honduras. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus on the most practical level. Legacy of Hope is the only foster/emergency care for at risk children in the Western Honduras area. LOH’s vision is transformational and life giving and we want to contribute to this vision, believing it is the ministry of Jesus. We want to give our lives to the pursuit of helping others and sharing all our talents, wisdom and gifts with those God brings across our paths. A goal of the ministry is to help children heal and eventually achieve permanency in a safe and healthy family environment. We cannot pray for a better outcome for these sweet children and are asking for your help in this endeavor.”
