The mission of Faith Project International (FPI) is to improve the lives of the poor of Guatemala by releasing hope and healing in Jesus’ name. Join the Cowherd and Rivera families from Mosaic as they host a family trip to Guatemala. The mission is located in San Antonio Ilotenango, a rural Mayan village about 3.5 hours NW of Guatemala City. Team members will get to work alongside Guatemalan families to build wood burning stoves and latrines in their homes. There is work all ages can perform from 5 to 105. Guatemala is amazing country full of contrasts– poor and rich, mountains and oceans. FPI strives to reach people for Jesus while making their lives better in the short term with poverty alleviation work. Before returning home the team will make a stop at Lake Atitlan, a beautiful volcano ringed lake.

The mission trip will focuses on indigenous Mayan families in the quiche region of Guatemala. FPI works with established women’s groups to provide health solutions that impact families. You will be working in participant families homes building wood burning stoves and latrines. FPI also does outreach in the villages with teams to lead vacation bible school in the afternoons.


  • Must attend Mosaic Church or live in Orlando with the ability to attend team meetings.
  • Pre-mission trip experience is NOT required.
  • Open to anyone including kids. This is a great family trip. Applicants that are 16 or 17 years old must be approved by the team leader to go on a trip without a parent/guardian.
  • Must have a passport 45 days prior to departure.


  • How much do I pay directly to FPI? $1200 per traveler.
  • What is included in the trip cost? Airfare, housing, transportation, supplies, traveler’s insurance and all meals while in Guatemala.
  • What is not included in the trip cost? Passport, any shots, snacks/drinks, and Souvenir shopping money.
  • Worried about raising funds? God will provide! Your hard work is still required though, so during team meetings, your team leader will discuss fundraising tips and ideas to help you be prepared for your journey.
