This Week's Lesson

At Mosaic Kids, we believe that God's Word is for kids today, impacting their lives now. While we aren't currently able to host our Mosaic Kids Sunday gatherings, if you're able, we would love for you to join us as a family in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings, engaging in worship and God's worth together. (Activity packets for kids will be available for all families to pick up before entering the sanctuary.)

You can also continue to find the weekly Mosaic Kids Lesson videos (full of worship, a lesson, and familiar faces) right here every week. We encourage you to watch these with your kids and use them to jumpstart memorable Gospel moments and conversations throughout the rest of the week!

Little Kids: Teaching & Resources (2-5 years old)

I Spy

June and July are all about what we can spy with our little eyes. Get ready for I Spy! It’s a great theme that not only helps us see the things that help us believe in Jesus, but it also goes right along with our Mosaic Kids Garden, City and Mix 56 theme this month. Get it? Focus. I Spy. It’s all about the eyes.

This month we are helping preschoolers see so they can believe in Jesus. We will have one key question and bottom line for June and July. We don’t think we can say these too much. They are that good. Get ready to ask, “who can believe in Jesus” and respond with, “I can believe in Jesus,” over and over again.

I Spy… Someone Who Believes in Jesus

Story Focus: I spy someone I can tell about Jesus. Now, we will turn our eyes to helping others see and believe in Jesus the way Peter did. Peter was a very good friend of Jesus. He saw Jesus do so many things that only He can do. Peter saw Jesus walk on water, heal people, and ultimately die and come back, just like Jesus said He would! God helped Peter see that He wants everyone, even those who are different from us, to see and believe in Jesus too. Our hope is that each of your preschoolers will have the truth that they can believe in Jesus with them.

The Garden & City: Teaching & Resources (Kindergarten - 4th Grade)

Focus

God View: The connection between faith and God’s character, as shown through God’s Big Story. Faith is trusting in what you can’t see because of what you can see.

Knowing Jesus Changes the Way You See Others

We finish the month in Acts 10 as we pick up Peter’s story. Through a pretty crazy dream and encounter with a non-Jewish follower of Jesus, Peter learns that the message of Jesus if for everyone. Peter had to change his mind about Gentiles because God was now including them in what He was doing in the world through Jesus.

Bottom Line: Knowing Jesus changes the way you see others. We might not always get along with everyone, but Jesus can help us see each other the way God sees them. God loves each and every one of us just as He’s made us. We should love and accept each other just as God loves and accepts us.

Knowing Jesus Changes The Way You See Others

Key Question: What are some ways people are different from each other? Preteens are very aware of how they are different from others in their life. Sometimes those differences get in the way of how we show friendship to others. When we follow Jesus, we can see others the way He sees them. Our differences are something to celebrate as God brings us all together through Jesus.
