At Mosaic Church we believe that God owns everything and He provides according to His will and plan. We encourage those who call Mosaic their home to live simply and live generously which frees you up to live sacrificially. Through giving regularly, sacrificially, and joyfully, we remind ourselves, and demonstrate to others the truth of the gospel of Christ – that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most generous gift ever given. When we give as Christ gave, we joyfully become poor for the sake of others, we recognize Christ as supreme in our lives, we place reliance on him to provide our needs, and we guard our hearts by beginning to remove the idol of money and consumerism.
There are several ways to worship through giving at Mosaic Church.
At each gathering, we have clearly marked TITHE boxes near the back of our worship space. We don’t pass a bucket or fancy offering plates because we believe that choosing to do this separately makes it a more intentional act of submission, rather than a random act of obligation. If you are someone who likes to give with cash and would like a tax-receipt at the end of the year from Mosaic, you can give via cash envelopes found near the TITHE boxes.
This is a good option because there is no fee and you can schedule it to happen automatically. Use your bank’s bill pay feature to set up recurring donations at no charge to Mosaic Church or you. Your banks online system should be able to guide you through this process. Donations should be made payable to:
Mosaic Church (campus name)
PO Box 1098
Oakland, FL 34760
We accept credit and debit cards for the simple convenience of our donors. We do not encourage credit purchases or debt as a lifestyle. If you are currently in debt, or have had a history of debt problems, please do not use your credit card to give to Mosaic Church.
If you have an MCB account, make a donation via that platform as it makes it easier for accounting and tax purposes.
If Mosaic is not your church home and you do not have an MCB account, but you would like to support our mission and vision, you can make a donation via our public giving page.
We have a kiosk for giving at the Winter Garden Campus where you can use your debit or credit card to give. This makes giving accessible to those of you who use cards rather than checks or cash. We do want to be clear that we are not encouraging anyone to use this option in such a way that would cause cause debt.
If you would like to ‘text to give,’ here are the simple steps to follow. Text the word give, a space, and the number of the amount you’d like to give without a dollar sign. (Ex. ‘Give 100’) Send the text to 855-910-7100. The first time you do this, you’ll get a text back instructing you to sign-in to your account or create a new one. If the phone number you text from is in MCB, it will pre-fill your information. If not, you’ll fill it in. You’ll then input your bank or credit card information. You’ll confirm by texting ‘Y’ back. After your first time, you’ll only have to text back a ‘Y’ to confirm the amount you’d like to give.
Mosaic’s Finance Team utilizes our online account called MCB (Mosaic Community Builder) to manage all donations. You can log into your account on MCB to view your giving history and generate a giving statement at any time. To do so:
We make every attempt to have the weekend offering processed by Monday or Tuesday, but occasionally it takes longer (especially when there is a holiday). If you don’t see a gift hit your account, give it a week and then reach out to Peggy Bush.
At Mosaic Church we believe that everything we see and everything we have is owned by God and He provides according to His will and plan. (1 Chronicles 29.10-19, Psalm 24.1-2, Psalm 50.10-11)
At Mosaic Church we encourage each Christ-Follower to prayerfully consider and evaluate what God the Father, through the Spirit, is calling them to give. Giving generously should be an active and intentional piece of our regular worship and service to our King. Our aim is to be Christlike in our generosity – ‘who although He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor, so that we by His poverty might become rich’. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most generous gift ever given. When this Gospel takes root in our lives, we gladly become poor, giving sacrificially of our lives to enrich the lives of others. In so doing, we remind ourselves, and demonstrate to others the great generosity of our abundantly good God. (2. Corinthians 8.9-10, 2 Corinthians 9.7).
Additionally we see in scripture numerous teaching for each believer in regards to money. Scripture provides encouragement so that we can:
In addition to encouraging us, Scripture warns us of the many pitfalls of money:
We believe that as Christ-followers we are called to financially support our local Church & Elders. In addition, God calls us to demonstrate mercy & compassion through giving aimed at caring for widows and orphans, poor and needy and foreigner in our community. (2 Chronicles 31.4, Deuteronomy 26.12, 1 Corinthians 9.8-14, 1 Timothy 5.17-18, Luke 8.1-3, Isaiah 58.6-12, Deuteronomy 26.12, 2 Corinthians 8-9)
